I am so sorry to hear about the death of Ms. Cumbie. When I first came to this area in the late 70's early 80's I worked for Project Uplift with a program that led me to Brown Elementary School. The first voice I heard when I entered Brown school was from this beautiful lady. She always had a smile and kind words to say about everyone. I always looked forward to coming to her school each week just to see her smile and hear her stories. She will be missed by all.
